I feel like this JVC camera announcement really flew under the radar. At the 2012 CES JVC announced a 4K camcorder that records 144mb by splitting the image into quadrants and recording each quadrant to a separate SDHC card (MPEG-4 AVC/H.264). Although pictures are floating around the internet that show the GY-HMQ10U with interchangeable lenses the standard kit includes a F2.8 10X lens. It can also record standard 1080p video at 24p and 60p (AVCHD). Did i mention it's under $5k! How did this go unnoticed? Hits shelves in April.
(just wish it had HD-SDI out)
